• Plymouth Mayor, Don Pohlman, and Plymouth Chamber Executive Director, Mary Hauser, say a few words
• Cut the ribbon
• Nutty the Nutt Hill Squirrel mascot and the Plymouth Panther mascot will be the first to go down the tubing lanes
• First 100 people are invited to enjoy hot cocoa provided by Devour 
• All those who bought tickets for December 16 at 3:30 p.m. are invited to start tubing and skiing/snowboarding

 
 

Cheese Capital Winter Park to host Nutt Hill Ribbon Cutting for $2.3 Million Revitalization and Reopening Project That Is 100% Community Funded To Provide Tubing, Skiing, and Snowboarding in Sheboygan County. 
 
PLYMOUTH, Wis., Dec. 16, 2025, Cheese Capital Winter Park, 501c3 non profit organization, will host a ribbon cutting ceremonyon Tuesday, December 16 at 3 p.m. at Nutt Hill in Plymouth, WI. The event marks the revitalization and reopening of Nutt Hill’s $2.3 million expansion project, 100% community funded, featuring a chalet, indoor fireplace, outdoor fire pit, 6 tubing lanes, 2 skiing/snowboarding runs, conveyor lift system, snow making machines, and groomer.  
Nutt Hill offers tubing, skiing and snowboarding for all ages right here in Sheboygan County. The new winter activities will help support a healthy lifestyle at the new outdoor recreation facilities.
Nutt Hill opened in 1962, closed in 2011, and will reopen in 2025. 
Many people grew up skiing on Nutt Hill. Now the community will be able to share this experience with the next generations. “Revitalizing and reopening Nutt Hill in Plymouth, WI, is a part of our community’s history and legacy,” said Joe VanDerven, President of Cheese Capital Winter Park. “This is an investment in our community and county. We look forward to welcoming families, youth, teens, and adults to the hill for a variety of winter fun activities and building new traditions,” he said. 
Nutt Hill represents the impact our community has to continue to evolve and make Plymouth an even greater place to live.
