Job Description:
The Plymouth Arts Center is seeking a creative and motivated temporary Intern to join our team as a Social Media and General Marketing Specialist. This role offers hands-on experience in digital marketing, content creation, and social media strategy. The ideal candidate will assist in enhancing our online and general presence by engaging with our existing audience and inviting new audiences across various platforms.
 
Collaborate closely with the Executive Assistant, Executive Director, and other team members to create, refine, and distribute engaging social media, newspaper, and radio content. This includes crafting original text, designing visuals, producing videos, and developing basic flyers. Assist with various other tasks as assigned to support the organization's goals within the PAC brand.
 
Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required. One or more years of educational or work experience in marketing, social media, communications or public relations.
  • Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills including the ability to convey information and ideas creatively through a variety of media to current members, potential Arts Centers members, art patrons, and donors. Emphasis on growing our organization, speaking to youth/young families.
  • Demonstrates experience using Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn to accomplish business communications objectives.
  • Project management and multi-tasking skills.
  • High degree of organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications, including MS Office, email/calendaring and mobile device operating systems.
  • Exhibits strong teamwork skills by fostering a positive and inclusive workplace atmosphere, promoting collaboration, and upholding a culture of respect and professionalism.

The Plymouth Arts Center is a non-profit community arts center founded in 1993 to promote and nurture the visual and performing arts in all of Western Sheboygan County and beyond. The Arts Center hosts a vibrant schedule of events including…. fine art exhibitions in Gallery 110 North, live musical and theatrical performances, art classes for all ages, and special annual events, such as, the Cheese Capital Jazz & Blues Crawl for the Arts, Paint the Towns in Fall Color Plein Air, and the nationally acclaimed, “Big Cheese Drop!”  The PAC serves as an unique backdrop for private parties, meetings and community events. Tour/School groups are always welcome. Gallery admission is free.  Open Tuesday-Friday 10am-4pm; Sat-Sun.
