Mentoring Services Manager
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Overview:
The Mentoring Services Manager oversees youth enrollment, matching, match support, engagement, retention, child safety, and youth outcomes. This role includes staff supervision, program leadership, and a limited caseload (20-35 matches). The manager also serves as a mentor trainer and Matchforce Administrator for data and reporting. This role oversees service delivery in Sheboygan and Manitowoc Counties.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Supervision:
- Model organizational values and competencies.
- Oversee enrollment, matching, and support services in compliance with standards.
- Supervise hiring, onboarding, training, and workload distribution for staff.
- Conduct team training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Monitor child safety, youth outcomes, and program goals.
- Provide data reports and dashboards to support decision-making.
- Participate in community committees and integrate insights into operations.
Enrollment & Matching:
- Develop and oversee standardized enrollment protocols.
- Monitor enrollment pipelines for efficiency and quality.
- Conduct enrollments and match introductions as needed.
- Ensure strong and appropriate match relationships.
Match Support:
- Conduct match support contacts, modeling best practices.
- Address challenging match situations and provide interventions.
- Administer surveys to evaluate program impact.
- Plan and execute volunteer training and engagement activities.
Other Duties:
- Assist with grant tracking, training materials, and scholarship processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social services, child development, psychology, education, or related field.
- 3+ years of management experience in youth development, nonprofits, or child safety.
- Outstanding leadership, coaching, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Matchforce experience preferred.
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to work flexible hours.
Preferred Experience:
- BBBS agency experience with proven performance.
- Familiarity with child development and family dynamics.
