SHEBOYGAN, WI (July 2, 2019)
Salvation Ride Returns
Ride for a Reason on July 6, 2019
On Saturday July 6, bicyclists of all ages and abilities will participate in the 6th annual Salvation Ride. Beginning at King Park in Sheboygan and heading south along the shores of Lake Michigan, the Salvation Ride offers five route options – 10, 25, 50, 62.5 and 100 miles.
This is the largest fundraiser outside of Christmas for The Salvation Army Sheboygan which serves the entire county. Proceeds from registration fees, sponsorships and personal pledges all go to support the vital social service programs available in the community. With the uncertainty of outside funding sources, the monies raised are much needed to continue operating programs such as the 45-bed homeless shelter, food pantry, youth character building, and Wellness Center.
Early registration is available online or at King Park on Friday, July 5 from 4pm – 6pm, and on Saturday morning beginning at 6:30am. More information about the Salvation Ride, including route details and registration is available at www.thesalvationride.org or by calling The Salvation Army Sheboygan at 920-458-3723.
