Sheboygan Mom Celebrates Birth of Baby Boy on Mother's Day
Sheboygan – A Sheboygan mom had an extra special reason to celebrate Mother’s Day this year: She welcomed a baby into the world!
Rosie celebrated Mother’s Day and the birth of her son with family, friends and cake at the hospital.

Rosie Van Maaren gave birth to a son, Jayce Richard Van Maaren, at 9:38 a.m. at HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan on Sunday, May 12. Jayce arrived nearly three weeks ahead of his due date weighing 6 pounds, 12 ounces and measuring 20 inches long. Rosie and Jayce are both healthy and doing well.
“I told people I had a feeling I was going to have him on Mother’s Day,” said Rosie. “What better gift? It’s been really exciting.”
