SHEBOYGAN, WI--April 16, 2025--The Sheboygan Theatre Company, the local community theater celebrating its 91st Season, is excited to present "Legally Blonde the Musical," directed by Zachariah Stearn with Eva Stokes as Music Director and Tricia Roberts as Choreographer. The show opens May 9 at the Leslie W. Johnson Theatre located in Horace Mann Middle School.

"We're delighted to bring this show to our community as it perfectly balances spectacular entertainment with a lot of heart," said Executive Director Tricia Roberts. "This production celebrates individuality, showcases the strength that comes from embracing your authentic self, and reminds us all that determination can overcome prejudice. Our talented cast and creative team have created a vibrant, high-energy experience that will leave audiences both entertained and inspired."

'Legally Blonde: The Musical' is the vibrant stage adaptation of the beloved novel and hit film. When fashionable sorority girl Elle Woods is dumped by her boyfriend Warner, she follows him to Harvard Law School determined to win him back and prove she's more than just a blonde. Facing skepticism and stereotypes, Elle discovers her own legal talents while staying true to her pink-loving personality. This high-energy production delivers catchy songs, dazzling choreography, and a heartwarming message about the power of being yourself.

Zac Stearn has worked professionally in theatre for 15 years as a director, actor, educator, and all-around arts enthusiast. Earlier this season, he directed STC’s production of Mary Poppins, following his directorial debut with STC on Into the Woods. He also directed STC’s Studio Players 4th of July Musical Revue. In addition to his work on stage, he recently authored 5 to Places: Memoir of a Theatre Kid, a reflection on his experiences in the world of theatre. His passion for storytelling and dynamic stage productions continues to inspire audiences and performers alike.

"Elle Woods is a pioneer in breaking down stereotypes, a role model for all to see that it's who you are as a person that matters most," Stearn said. "She demands that she not be reduced to the outfit she wears. Our production brings a story with lots of heart and humanity, about feminism, gender equality, and one girl's determination to achieve her dreams. It's loud and big, bold and brash, full of magnificent music and dance sequences.”
