The Salvation Army Sheboygan Corps Now Serving Entire County
Merge Expands Social Service Programs Offered
SHEBOYGAN, WI (April 9, 2019) - As of April 1, 2019 The Salvation Army Bread of Life Assistance Center in Plymouth has merged with The Salvation Army Sheboygan located in downtown Sheboygan.  The decision to serve the entire county from one central location was made in an effort to expand the social service programs offered to all Sheboygan county residents. Programs previously offered at the Bread of Life Assistance Center will continue at the Sheboygan Corps Community Center.
The services available to qualifying county residents include the food pantry, emergency utility assistance, work boot assistance, youth overnight camp, homeless shelter, Christmas toy shoppe, Coats for Kids, the Kettle Moraine Correctional Institute release and Christmas programs. Residents can also utilize the new Red Shield Wellness Center programming that includes prescription assistance, budget and credit counseling, mental health counseling and the Made New Again working wear assistance.
The previous Salvation Army Bread of Life Assistance Center director, Adrianna Hilbelink, transitioned to the Sheboygan Corps as a volunteer coordinator at the beginning of 2019. “We are blessed to live in such an amazing community, where we can work together to be a light in the darkness,” said Hilbelink of the merge.
