CLEVELAND, WI – Lakeshore College is pleased to announce 52 construction and industrial trade apprentices received a Tools of the Trade scholarship from Ascendium this year. Each apprentice received $2,000 to use toward tools, clothing, equipment, tuition, and other needs that help them complete the required education and training for their trade. “These scholarships help ease significant financial challenges for students who are developing their skills, caring for their families, and strengthening our CLEVELAND, WI – Lakeshore College student Alan Calvin has been selected to represent the college as its 2026-27 Wisconsin Technical College System Student Ambassador. Lakeshore’s student ambassador promotes Lakeshore on campus, in the community, among legislators, and at Wisconsin Technical College System events. A scholarship is also awarded to the student selected annually for the role, considered one of the most competitive leadership opportunities at the college. Calvin, who is originally from CLEVELAND, WI — Lakeshore College announced today that it has earned the 2026-2027 Military Friendly® Schools Designation recognized as a Silver Level School. This is the 17th consecutive year the college has received the designation from Viqtory, a national organization that connects the military community to educational and entrepreneurial opportunities and civilian employment. Lakeshore also received the Military Friendly® Spouse School designation.
Institutions earning the Military Friendly Schools® CLEVELAND, WI – A new scholarship fund has been established at Lakeshore College to support students pursuing higher education, thanks to the generosity and vision of a recent donor. The Eugene A. and Elsie E. Patterson Scholarship Fund was created to honor the enduring legacy of Eugene and Elsie Patterson and their shared belief in the transformative power of education.
Elsie Patterson has established a $150,000 scholarship fund to provide opportunities for students who demonstrate determination, CLEVELAND, WI – Lakeshore College’s Board Appointment Committee has reappointed Don Pohlman and John Wyatt, and appointed Ryan Neville to the Lakeshore College District Board of Trustees. Terms for the three board members begin July 1, 2026 and run through June 30, 2029. Lakeshore has an appointed board consisting of nine members: two employer members, two employee members, three additional members, one elected official member who holds a state or local office, and one school district administrator.
